GOLD SKIRT

JCPenny Coat (old) \  Zara Sweater  \  F21 Skirt (DIY) and Bag  \  Express Flats

You know those days when you have the perfect top and shoes you've paired together and can't find a neutral skirt? This is when a gold skirt comes in handy plus it adds a luxe feel to any every day outfit. So, when I saw this gold mini out of the corner of my eye, I grabbed two and had my tailor add it on to increase the length! Of course, soon after shopping online did I find a few modest options. If you crave one you can get 'em sans tailor. Woot, woot.

DIY: GOLD GILDED LOAFERS

I love gold gilded anything and wanted to spruce up these patent loafers to add some edge to the
preppiness :) I recently purchased them from H&M. So easy! Read below how you can do the same.

Supplies:

- Loafers (H&M)
- Gold Sheets (I took extras that I had from a previous DIY for a lucite clutch, here)
- Adhesive
- Scissors

Start by measuring the size of the heel against the gold sheet and mark it with a pen.

Do the same for the middle of the bows then cut your strips.

Now just apply the glue to the heel and place the gold sheet firmly down and do
the same for the bows and your'e done!

DIY: FEATHERED PEPLUM

I found these beautiful green iridescent featheres and paired it with this
H&M (before) shimmery peplum top. So pretty!

Supplies:
- Peplum top (H&M)
- Feathered trim
- E6000 adhesive and brush
- Scissors

Start by measuring the trim for the front of the top, one side to the other. (Apply the trim in sections first in front then on the back.) Cut, then apply the glue to the ends and press in place. (Be careful to apply the trim on a flat surface and make sure no material is getting bunched.) I layered three strips on top of another spacing them two inches apart to my desired length. If you want a shorter peplum then two rows will be just fine. Done!

DIY LOAFERS, TWO WAYS: SPARKLY STARRED OR MINK POM-POM'D

Take your basic loafers and turn them into a statement sparkly piece
or keep them elegant for every day!

Sparkly Starred Loafers:

- Loafers (These are from H&M)
- Star cushion appliques (These are from B&Q Trim)
- Crafter's pick adhesive
- Silver glitter
- Sponge brush
- Hairspray

Start by taking the glue and paint it on the loafer section by section so the
glue doesn't dry when you sprinkle on the glitter.

Tap off the excess and when you finish each section you can take the extra glitter
and reuse it for the next section! Tip: You can easily clean off the edges with a makeup wipe
to remove any glitter fallout.

Once you are done, seal the glitter with hairspray and let dry.

Now, glue on the stars or any applique you desire and you're done!

Mink Pom-Pom Loafers:

- Loafers
- E6000 adhesive
- Two mink pom-poms (B&Q Trim)

Simply, glue on the pom poms and press in place.

Let them dry and you'r done!
